This experiential two-year Karuna Trainning teaches us to recognize basic sanity in ourselves and others and to trust that. We also learn to (re)connect with basic sanity and how we can utilize this when working with others. Mindfulness, compassion and meditation are the ground of our training.
It is a journey of discovering one's own brilliant sanity and of learning how to exchange ourselves for others so that we can transform everyday life challenges into opportunities for openness and wisdom.
The programme of Karuna Training is derived from the curriculum of Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, USA. Naropa University was founded by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1974.

According to Contemplative Psychology working with others is only possible when we develop a direct and intimate familiarity with our own mind.
Training in mindfulness, compassion and meditation help us to familiarize ourselves with our minds, our emotions and our confusion. We are trained to be mindfully present: open and inviting. We are also trained to be compassionately present and to open our hearts. In this way genuine, loving and healing exchange with the other is possible.
The first year is aimed at personal development and we discover our basic sanity. In the second year we learn how to utilize this when working with others. Throughout the training contemplative methods, group processes and learning from and with each other are practised.
